Paraprofessional Testing Dates
Paraprofessional Testing

To qualify for a Paraprofessional permit, you must have one of the following:

1. High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
2. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of instruction at a regionally accredited institution of higher education
3. Associate’s degree or higher degree

Effective July 2022, The ETS® ParaPro Assessment will only be available through Prometric as an at home test or at a Prometric testing center.  The IRSD will no longer be able to offer in-person testing after that date.

Registration information and testing requirements for the ParaPro Assessment and at home testing can be found on the ETS website.  Visit the Prometric website: or contact them at 888-895-6116 to schedule both versions of the test.
