The Indian River School District will host three public meetings in the coming weeks to highlight the major capital improvement referendum scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2020.
The public meeting schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, January 22 – Sussex Central High School, 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 29 – Indian River High School, 7:00 p.m.
- Monday, February 3 – Lord Baltimore Elementary School, 7:00 p.m.
At each meeting, district officials will give a presentation outlining the referendum initiative. The public is invited and will have the opportunity to ask questions.
In addition, the district has scheduled a public meeting for senior citizens to explain the referendum and to highlight the various tax assistance programs available to seniors.
This meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 29 in the Sussex Central High School auditorium at 9:00 a.m. Sussex Central High School is located at 26026 Patriots Way, Georgetown, DE.
District officials will give a presentation outlining the referendum initiative and will explain the state and county property tax relief programs available to senior citizens. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions.
